Race Day Transportation:

Shuttle bus services will be available from Changlimithang to Buddha Dordenma to transport participants to the starting point of the race. The departure schedule is as follows:

• 5:30 AM:For Full Marathon participants.
• 6:00 AM:For Half Marathon and Green Run participants.

These services are organized to ensure participants arrive punctually and comfortably at the starting location.

Note: individual transportation of participants is allowed

Declaration and Waiver of Liability Thimphu Marathon Events

Participants of the Thimphu Marathon, Half Marathon, Peace Run, Green Run, and Memorial Run (hereinafter referred to as the “Event”), organized by the Thimphu Marathon Committee (“TMC”), are required to acknowledge and assume all risks associated with participation by agreeing to the following terms:

1. General Release

• By signing this agreement, the undersigned athlete or participant (“Athlete”), on behalf of themselves and their personal representatives, heirs, executors, successors, and assigns, hereby releases, waives, discharges, and agrees not to hold liable the Thimphu Marathon Committee, its affiliates, sponsors, co-sponsors, officers, directors, personnel, successors, assigns, and any assisting individuals or entities (collectively referred to as “Releasees”) for any injuries, damages, or claims of any nature arising out of the Athlete’s participation in the Event. This waiver applies even in cases where the injury or damage may result from negligence, whether active or passive, by the Releasees.

2. Acknowledgment of Risks

• By participating in the Event, the Athlete affirms that they are in good physical health and condition, capable of safely taking part in the activities. The Athlete willingly assumes all risks, including but not limited to injury, property damage, or even death, that may arise from participation in the Event.

3. Use of Personal Information and Media

• By registering for the Event, the Athlete consents to the use of their name, photographs, and likeness in any promotional materials, including newspapers, broadcasts, brochures, and other media, without any expectation of compensation. Additionally, the Athlete agrees that their provided registration information may be used by TMC and its partners for communications related to the Event.

4. Non-Refundable Fees

• The Athlete acknowledges that the registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances, including Event cancellation due to weather, natural disasters, strikes, or other unforeseen conditions beyond TMC’s control.

5. Event Alteration or Cancellation

• TMC reserves the right to postpone, delay, or cancel the Event in the interest of participant safety. The Athlete understands that no refunds will be issued in such situations.

6. Medical Treatment and Liability

• The Athlete authorizes the Event’s medical team to access medical records as necessary and to provide medical care in the event of an emergency. The Athlete assumes full financial responsibility for all medical expenses incurred during the Event, including transportation, hospitalization, and treatment costs.

7. Representation of Truth

• By signing this agreement, the Athlete certifies that all statements provided are true and accurate. The Athlete understands that TMC relies on these representations when granting participation in the Event.

8. Minors

• Athletes under the age of 16 must have this agreement signed by a parent or legal guardian. By signing, the parent/guardian affirms that the minor is in good physical condition and capable of safe participation in the Event. The parent/guardian also authorizes medical care for the minor as needed.

Participants acknowledge that they have carefully read and voluntarily agreed to this Declaration and Waiver of Liability. They fully understand its terms and consent to its conditions.
